Resolution

Recently, I have embarked on another mind adventure. Having read through half of Paul Graham's book, Hackers and Painters, I now feel at harmony with the "reality" I used to hate so much about. Justified with the theory of the Monkeysphere and some other principles.

The coming week will be 5 more days of "putting in effort which is averaged out" but I'll be encouraging myself to do it as if I'm Bright Noa sitting at the bridge.

Completed ACE3 (yes, the stage in the last post is the freakin boss stage) and began unlocking secrets. I'm stuck at a certain Macross Plus stage where you have to end the stage with all computer ally units alive. Not an easy job to do when your main objective is to clear a huge amount of hostile units within a fixed amount of time.

If there's anything ACE and SRW games have taught me, it will be that skills, age, gender, race, intellectual abilities, physical abilities... all these are just what we look for in other people, in order to compare and contrast. What really mattered among the characters while they were in ACE3 was purpose. Each character drove themselves to their limits in order to fulfil their individual purposes, much more so when they went for the unified goal in the end: to save the worlds. I will try not to give up in life as I have not found my purpose. (much like what Heero Yuy did everyday)

That aside, I have been feeling alive recently. Rather than merely motivated by obsession of "sexy" technical stuff, I feel like I want to create things. To fulfil my childhood dream once and for all. Which is to make a computer game drama (not interactive fiction or visual novel) among many other things. It will be no longer about myself. It will be about the world and its people that I have become fond of.

そう、いいものを作って頑張ります。自分だけのためじゃない。

Let's explore the outer limits, if not beyond the limits of whatever you might be thinking about (cosmos, spacetime, imagination, ability, etc.). Let's get wild.

...A dark alley...

Upon turning into this alley from the busy streets, you realize that this area is totally void of light from the streetlamps and noise from the roads. You see a man in crumpled clothing. He wears a torn straw hat.

make some sense

Layout designer's notes...

best viewed in 1024 X 768 resolution. a brief history about the author pertaining to the theme of shadow of transcendence. it came about in the wee hours of the early morning while being whisked away into memories of the past etched deep within the mind. bittersweetness that tingled the tastebuds of her emotions and feelings, the only way out for true liberation from this reality is what is behind the shadow of transcendence; suicide. the taste of iron-rust blood coiled with the lingering bittersweetness is the only contemplation of which the simplicity of life has to offer in exchange for the shadow of transcendence. made in the heavens through one creator, an angel borne to serve man; fell from where it belonged to earth where its purity shadowed by boredom and nohing better to do.
