I remembered the time I went crazy over Wolfenstein 3D mods. This is weird. I seem to be magically attracted to old games, getting turned on by interfaces that have black backgrounds, less stylish fonts and minimalistic interface designs that looked like those of Koei's early strategy game series, Sangokushi (a.ka. RTK [Romance of the Three Kingdoms]). I think I just love DOS too much, to the extent that my mind is still living in that age.

Ok, anyway... I'll introduce one more thing, then stop it once and for all.

It is a Doom 3 WAD this time. Not sure if it is a total conversion, but this WAD is a remake of the original Doom game, a.k.a. Classic Doom, with the Doom 3 engine, accompanied by opening and ending cinematics. Classic Doom 3, by Flaming Sheep Software, is professionally done. I don't have Doom 3 though, so I could only watch Youtube videos of the cinematics and of the gameplay for E1M1 (The Hangar) and E1M8 (Phobos Anomaly). The music... -clears throat-. The music kicks ass. Whoa, I must be pretty influenced by it to say this. It is all done (all 8 levels) by a this one guy known as Sonic Clang, with the exception of the music for E1M9 (Military Base), which is a remix by one of their other team members, Thumpmonk. -headbangs to the E1M1 music- Head over here to read about them and download the WAD. That's it. Going back to work, to prepare two seperate presentations, one about robotics, particulary Sumo competitions, and the other about the insurgency in Thailand, something I didn't even know about until last week (I admit I don't watch the news, as I get pretty carried away by things of the past).
