Catching up with others

Sayonara to all intrusive noise,
No more childish play, no more toys.
-"Information High"

I think I've matured a little during nearly 2 months of something close to completely nothing in my internship. That the programming world is my utopia is now the furthest thought from my mind. Still, as an ambitious novice, I will let myself train hard. There is no place else I can go.

I have realized that in the whole of my past life, all I did was baselessly following examples of success, looking for the "textbook answers". While I thought I was pretty intelligent, I was functionally similar to the little program named Henley, introduced in Paul Graham's book, ANSI Common Lisp, faking intelligence by combining ideas and words that looked nice together. Being lazy to think, I have spent the time required to come out with logical deductions to search for field-proven logical deductions instead. This, as a result, rendered me a stupid fool living in a world of imagination (not even my own imagination) and foolishly believing that I'm ahead of others, while everyone else is actually ahead of me.

By training hard, however, I do not just mean fixing the fault I have observed about myself in the above passage. Besides training myself to think and picking up the habit of finding and munching on little problems, I should also learn to make decisions without needing someone else to validate them, and more importantly, to start exercising weekly.

Which is why I have initiated a project. It will be a project for all of us to gain technical skills, rather than something for a great cause.

For a better me...!

...A dark alley...

Upon turning into this alley from the busy streets, you realize that this area is totally void of light from the streetlamps and noise from the roads. You see a man in crumpled clothing. He wears a torn straw hat.

make some sense

Layout designer's notes...

best viewed in 1024 X 768 resolution. a brief history about the author pertaining to the theme of shadow of transcendence. it came about in the wee hours of the early morning while being whisked away into memories of the past etched deep within the mind. bittersweetness that tingled the tastebuds of her emotions and feelings, the only way out for true liberation from this reality is what is behind the shadow of transcendence; suicide. the taste of iron-rust blood coiled with the lingering bittersweetness is the only contemplation of which the simplicity of life has to offer in exchange for the shadow of transcendence. made in the heavens through one creator, an angel borne to serve man; fell from where it belonged to earth where its purity shadowed by boredom and nohing better to do.
