Dear Mr. Ravi,

At this time of writing this e-mail, our ECAD group assignment is nearing completion. Everything is going smooth. That is until one of my group members by the name of Chin Cai Fu demanded that nobody touches and changes a single bit of the pages he has done. Not that we have any problem with that, except the extent of his demands were too outrageous.

According to him, I was at fault for insisting that all pages come with a header, a line and breadcrumb navigation. It was our mistake to make all pages look consistent. We were not supposed to touch his "sacred" code. He even threatened to remove the pages from the ECAD server if he is to find any deviations in his pages. We weren't even allowed to add a 'u' in a particular session variable name (i.e. Session("Colour")).

As a group member, I am paranoid as this is huge threat to our hard work. Next Monday, in the morning, after we submit our pages, he is going to check his OWN pages for deviations and delete all our hard work if he finds one. It seems that this person can do anything to protect his pride, even if it means ruining the whole team along with himself.

I admit I was too hot-headed in the approach. I even shot him with a revolver. Even though I now know that I am at fault, the threat still exists. I cannot bow down to him and apologize because of what he threatened to do.

It was quite an experience working with this student. Please take action (e.g. forbidding him to access the server) if neccessary.

P.S. I agree that it is petty of me to write this letter. However, I never agreed that people who think everything should go their way and do damage to our group work. I am prepared to receive punishment for "back-stabbing" him by writing this letter. This conflict will not affect how I am going to go about with my Peer Evaluation. I will give everybody a balanced score. Though this is slightly unfair to Chee How, who did most of the work and never complained.

That was the letter I wrote but never sent. It will stay here in my blog until I decide that one day I should forgive Cai Fu for being such a tyrant or to send him to the gallows along with myself.

I loved him the wrong way, my dad says. I should be compassionate to him and give him what he wants. I still can't see the point of what my dad said, but I'll try. Cai Fu will probably continue going his tyranny ways, but who cares. I've decided not to love him anymore.
